We advise all investors to adopt a written Investment Policy Statement that describes their asset allocation goals for each account.

When we manage individual investment accounts, our clients prepare an Investment Policy Statement that describes 3 different asset allocation portfolios: The Balanced Asset Allocation, The Equity Income Asset Allocation, and The Income Asset Allocation.

We have provided graphs below to help you visualize how the different asset allocations look, and how they may fit with your investment goals. Your own asset allocations may be different than ours, but the important idea is to keep careful track of the asset allocations in each of your investment accounts, and to re-balance the accounts whenever they get out of whack.

The TSA Balanced Asset Allocation portfolio contains 33% Government Bonds, 33% Corporate Bonds, and 33% Common Stocks.

The TSA Equity Income Asset Allocation Portfolio contains 20% Government Bonds, 20% Corporate Bonds, and 60% Common Stocks.

The TSA Income Asset Allocation Portfolio contains 40% Government Bonds, 40% Corporate Bonds and 20% Common Stocks.
